Door Handle Assembly

Machine design of workstation to build door handle and cable assembly.

Description

Custom machine design completed in Pro Engineer. Single operator, height adjustable workstation to assemble and test a door handle mechanism. Components were loaded by the operator. Vacuum was incorporated to hold components. Bowl feeding and electric linear motion were integrated. Sensor confirmed correct components and loading. Handle was operate automatically after final assembly, and function was confirmed by monitoring movement at the end of attached function cable.
