Sonic Welder

Automotive bezel sonic weld machine.

Description

This machine was designed to secure two parts of an automobile interior bezel together via infrared welding. The operator loads the product into the nesting on the baseplate; sensors detect the presence of the parts. Once the operator initiates the process, the upper platen lowers to hold the product and weld the parts together. When completed the platen lifts, taking the finished product off the nest to make room for the next set. The custom machine design for this machine was completed in SolidWorks.
